Traces of the Troubles
In the city of Belfast there are still a lot of traces of The Troubles after all these years with peace between the Catholics and the Protestants. On the house walls on Falls Road and Shankhill Road a lot of murals can be seen which tell us a lot about The Troubles and what it was like to live in Belfast during The Troubles. Another trace is all the peace lines that can be found, especially between Falls Road(Catholic) and Shankhill Road(Protestant). The peace lines were made to keep the Catholics and the Protestants apart. On Falls Road, we could also see posters which said, “Britain out of Ireland!” Now there is peace in Belfast but when you walk around in the streets, it is obvious that there still are traces of The Troubles in the city.
